The H-19 from Opticon is a PDA / Smartphone hybrid with a mobile phone-like keypad and a built-in 1D or 2D barcode scan engine. Opticon's H-19 is constructed to withstand 1.2mtr drops onto concrete and to meet IP54 environmental protection standards. All versions of Opticon's H-19 have standard communication specifications including USB, BlueTooth, WiFi, Edge GPRS and GSM and has built-in GPS. The H-19 has Windows Mobile 6.0 OS, 128MB memory, 2.8" LCD, integral SD slot for expansion and a choice of laser or imager scanning technology.
As a measure of Opticon's confidence in the H-19, the device will sell in the UK with a 24-month full manufacturer's warranty.
The Enterprise Fast-Pitch Platinum Award recognizes best-of-breed wireless solutions, including a variety of software applications and wireless network devices. Opticon Inc. submitted its H19 Field Phone for consideration. After a quick-fire presentation and question/answer session, the H19 was selected as the Best New Network Compatible Device for 2008.
The Enterprise Fast-Pitch Platinum Award judges wireless solutions on Concept and Innovation, Quality and Usability and Business Case. The award recognises new cellular network devices that are compatible with AT&T’s GSM/GPRS network, and contestants are subject to a quick-fire presentation and question/answer session; the H19 beat competition from various software apps and hardware devices.
