Instant data transmission is made possible with CCXv4 certified IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n and Push-to-talk features voice transmission which pushes productivity even higher in WLAN environments. The new 9700 mobile computer operates on Windows platform and TI OMAP 1GHz CPU which enables fast and easy application development. Additionally, essential accessories such as pistol grip, and software support makes operation simple with this handheld terminal.

Plano, Texas—CipherLab, an innovator in Automated Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) for the retail, warehouse and distribution markets, has launched the 9400 Series Industrial Mobile Computer, the second CipherLab product to support Microsoft Windows CE 5.0. Designed to provide “wireless anywhere” mobility through compliance with all popular wireless communications platforms (including Bluetooth, WiFi and Quad-band EDGE RF), the 9400 simplifies the tasks of those working in the retail, logistics, warehouse, transportation and field sales/services industries.
A powerful yet user-friendly mobile computer, the 9400 delivers industry-leading features such as a built-in digital camera, multi-form data input (touchscreen or keyboard), multi-scanning options and the ability to read and write RFID tags. It offers up to eight hours of battery life in WLAN mode and surpasses drop-impact standards—important considerations for the more demanding conditions of the warehouse or field-use environments. Because the 9400 incorporates familiar Windows graphics and gives users the option of creating custom applications or accessing current Web-based applications, it drastically reduces training time requirements.
The 9400 will be in production before the end of 2007, and first shipments are expected in Q1 2008.
