Why is the CipherLab 8000 or 8001 not connecting to my PC?

With the CipherLab 8000 series scanner, you will need to make sure the USB cable is plugged into the PC, and that the device has installed the Virtual COM driver.
With the CipherLab 8001 series scanner, you will need to make sure that both the USB and power cable are both plugged into the PC, and the device has installed the virtual COM driver.
**NOTE** The thicker cable with the 8001 scanner is for the interface connection, not for power.
